A Note from the Author
Even though I have a husband and a grown-up son now, I’ll never forget the day when I was young and my family had recently come to America from England. I happened to find myself at home with my mother. She decided that we were going to go to a shop in Chicago that sold children’s books. By the way, my two older sisters weren’t with us. So I had all of my mother’s attention. Yippee!
We were looking at the books when I spied a book that was called The Little Mermaid. It was a hardcover book with a black cover and an image of a mermaid under the sea in 3D! When I moved the book slowly, everything changed. The image moved, the fish moved, and the water rippled. I kept staring into that book cover until I felt like I was almost in the sea myself. It was like magic to me.
I wrote Hazel’s Enchanted Journey to bring some magic into children’s imaginations and entertain the thought of “Anything can happen” and, in the end, make them smile. I hope you enjoy this book.
Enjoy Reading!
